Hi there
Thanks for your question. Submitting your press release online can be done via some of the online PR services which are as follows:
PR Newswire
PressBox
PRWeb
Press Dispensary
To submit articles I would research websites that carry articles about your subject area and write to them and ask if they would accept an article. Many sites do accept article submissions as it saves them having to write their own content!
good luck with your PR campaign!

Linking Dilemmas
Link building is one thing that causes a great deal of dilemma with many website owners. I'm often asked how many links one should have pointing to a website, where's the best place to get them from, should they reciprocate links, should they pay, how will it help their rankings etc etc.
There is no set amount of links or sites to link from that will magically elevate a site to the top of the rankings. It's not just rankings that should be the driving force either, but carefully targeted sites that will direct the targeted audience, and increase the overall visibility of a site online.
Link building has to be a good mixture of different tactics - directory submissions, exchanging links with appropriate sites, paying for targeted links, PR coverage online, link requests etc. The more visible your site and the well-developed the content, the more that you will gain links naturally, i.e. people will just want to link to it as they find it to be a good resource. Don't employ the automated email approach that contacts all and sundry with the same email that usually gets deleted. It's the quality of links, not the quantity that's going to contribute to the link popularity of your site.
Search Engine Land highlights the linking dilemma more with this useful post:
http://searchengineland.com/070416-113308.php
This covers more about how to approach link building and a bit about what to do if you find that previous link building activity has led to links from spammy sites.
Whatever you do, just take it step by step - do your research, submit your site with well written descriptions, send individual emails to site owners requesting links, and if you're doing some PR, ask your PR agency to ensure that any offline coverage gets into the online version of the journal/magazine/newspaper where possible.

How green is your PC?
Reading this article on the BBC website has prompted me to think about how green my office products are:
Lenovo tops eco-friendly ranking
My laptop is a Dell, my main PC an Acer, both of which are in the list with varying scores. However, we seem to need huge amounts of electronics to run our businesses today: PCs, laptops, PDAs, mobile phones, printers, scanners, faxes (or an all in one like mine), phone chargers and entertainment to keep us sane while working - radios, mp3 players - the list goes on.
So how well do we score on being green in the office? It's much easier now to buy recycled paper or have our stationery printed on recycled paper and buy recycled promotional products etc than think about how green our PCs & mobiles are.... According to this article, PC World are planning to build the most eco-friendly PC in the world - I'd be interested to read reviews when it comes out!
what do you do when your old phones or PCs are obsolete? Manufacturers are supposed to take responsibility for recycling and disposing of them in an eco-friendly way, but how many of them actually do it, and how easy is it for the consumer to return the PC to the manufacturer? Charities will take old mobile phones for recycling and responsible disposal, but relies on the goodwill of the public not to just throw them away.
Well, no one said it was easy being green, but as our need for the latest gadgets is ever increasing, so does the waste we leave behind!
Try the following for phone recycling:
Action Aid
Recycling appeal
Oxfam
